Exactly at half the age of Rotary International RC Trichy Fort travels with RI as faithful as the shadow, never swerving from the ethics, principles and programmes laid down by the Rotary International. Fort club not only serves in all the seven thrust areas of RI faithfully but also exceeds all expectations doing innovative projects in all the genres of service. Medical camps, feeding the poor, devoted service during Covid period unafraid of all dire consequences; blood donation et al is the way of life for Fortarians.
But we focus on our own signature special projects such as building concrete class rooms for aided schools, convenient toilets especially for girl students, and has attracted many students to attend education in protected environments. Our latest effort is to create regular forests by planting tree saplings besides Miazaki forests has attracted the attention of even the local State Government. Being located very near the granary of Tamilnadu State we give special attention to farmers, give them training by experts in modern cultivation and agricultural procedures by experts in the field.
Rotary Club of Tiruchirapalli Fort is an important cog in the greater wheel of RI and faithfully serves the District through the District Governor. Fort Club carries the responsibility of completing all the goals set by the District Governor and completes them with all finesse. We have rejuvenated a few large water bodies to hold rain water to be used at times of need. We have completed refurbishing a few Government aided schools giving the students concrete class rooms and hygienic toilets.
Every year Fort club strives to add new members, elites from the society who will be sustained members for long years. We involve and integrate them into the mainstream without let and satiate their hunger to do service to humanity. Fort Club is acclaimed to be one of the best clubs in the district and last year it bagged more than twenty four coveted awards for completing multifarious projects.
